Does your dog bark or lunge at other dogs or people on walks?

This class will help owners to better understand their dog's reactivity and help build skills to manage and decrease unwanted displays of bark-lunge behavior at other dogs or people. Through desensitization and counter conditioning in a controlled setting, you will feel more prepared to help your dog through real-life situations at home. 

Topics Covered:

-Leash handling techniques

-Identifying stress and what to do about it

-Managing your dog's threshold

-Desensitization to proximity of dogs and people

-Interactive attention

-Relaxation around new dogs and people

-Practicing emergency situations

-Voluntary disengagement from triggers

**Dogs DO NOT greet people or dogs in this class. Successful relaxed tolerance of dogs/people within 30 feet without agitation, fixation or vocalization is the goal of this course.

**Week 1 is a human-only orientation.
